Prayash Thapa

Prospective Mathematician

Who I am

My name is Prayash Thapa. I am an 18-year-old high school senior with a deep curiosity for the structures that run our world — from the elegance of pure mathematics to the logic of a chess game.

I spend my time writing playing chess and playing around with Python, drawn to the precision they demand and the problems they let me solve. Problems are a daily part of my life — a way to give abstract ideas a concrete form.

This fall, I will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology to study Applied Mathematics, where I plan to explore more rigorous theory-based mathematics.
